About Team Go4one

Team Go4one is now in its 6th consecutive season in the AMA Pro Superbike Series with rider Eric Pinson #41 in the premier class of Pro National Guard American Superbike.  The Go4one name was launched in 2011 and conveys the enterprising spirit, bike number, directive for sponsor products/ services and a means to inspire fans to empower their passion - to chase their big audacious goals. Previously known as Liberty Waves, the Team has grown and showed progressive results each year - both in standings among North America's fleet of pro-riders and in providing promotional value to team partners. The Team has an integrated promotional program that inspires and energizes a growing fan base to buy into products and services that enable fans to achieve their Go4one pursuits of any kind - athletic, artistic, scientific, etc.  The team's appeal extends beyond just race fanatics but touches the core and enduring spirit of the everyday person who aspires to achieve unfulfilled dreams. 

6 seasons of racing offers many impressive firsts:

*   First to integrate mobile, SMS marketing tags into bike branding and pro AMA road racing (2012)

*   First team to run Braille Lithium Battery in AMA Pro Main (2011)

*   First team to race BMW S1000 RR in AMA Pro Superbike and pioneer BMW's re-entry to racing the premier class of AMA since the 1980s (2010)

*   First team to podium the Buell 1125R in pro AMA event.  Team went on to earn AMA Pro championship podium, third in points in the Moto GT1 endurance class (2009).

*   First team to run a Holstein white with black spot dairy cow-scheme in Pro AMA event as a means to help bring visibility and exposure to sponsor,  Dairyland Cycle Insurance (2008-2009)

*   First to run Continental Tires in Pro AMA event - in the Daytona 200.  1 set lasted the entire race weekend including the duration of the 200. (2007)

*   Team started by a woman as sports marketing arm of  marketing / communications firm, Liberty Waves Marketing (2007)

Past partners have included Antelope Valley Harley Davidson,  Malcolm Smith  Motorsports, Big #1 Motorsports, Blue Moon Cycle, RaceTech, Shoei, HMF, Vortex, Woodcraft, and Royal Purple. 

The team is based in Atlanta, Georgia; additional roots in California and New York State. 

Team Accomplishments

• 2011 Season Highlights BMW & KAW; competition #41

  • Return to Daytona season opener on same BMW S1000 from 2010 but as #41; 15th finish in Race 1 American Superbike

  • Brought new corporate sponsor, Braille Battery, to AMA Road Race environment ;

  • Raced 5 total races including Mid Ohio & New Jersey rounds on Kawasaki ZX10 2010 

  2010 Season Highlights BMW S1000; competition #2

  • Made history at Daytona; first to race BMW in pro AMA Superbike in 26 years

  • 10+ Pro AMA American Superbike Races

  • 6 Consecutive rounds

  • 7 Finishes; Best; 13th at Road Atlanta

  2009 Season Highlights Buell 1125R

  • 3rd in Moto GT1 Championship

  • 4 Podium finishes:  2nd place finishes at Road Atlanta and VIR; 3rd place finishes at Daytona and Road America

  • Signed 4,000 autographs

  • Added 1,000 to mail list

  • 24th:  E. Pinson No. 41; Raced select events; Best Finish; 15th at Laguna Seca Round 11

  • 600 Supersport

  • 22nd: E. Pinson No. 41; Earned points in all 11 rounds

  • Best Finish; 17th at Miller Round 5

History Timeline 2006 To 2010

Christmas 2006:  Purchased Yamaha R6 which and converted to race bike

2007 Season: Launched team with Pinson as sole rider, and volunteers to crew every race.  Qualified and completed two races of Daytona Opener; Supersport & FX Daytona 200; Struggled through middle rounds and built momentum to qualify and complete Supersport races of final 3 rounds; posted top 20 finish at Laguna season closer.

Sep 2007:  Jamie Spinks, long time friend of Pinson who had helped him during his mountain bike racing career, came on board as crew chief.

2008 Season:  The team rose from 30th in the season opener and posted several top 20 finishes.  Completing and earning points at all 11 rounds, the team achieved overall point standings just shy of the top 20 in the most competitive class of the Series (600 Supersport). 

In 2008; team had a dozen yellow waves [team shirts] filling paddock at every event; With spare hands, the team reached out and supported another independent rider.   

Aug 2008: Team debuts race bikes painted like Holstein dairy cows

Oct 2008: Antelope Valley Harley-Davidson / Buell out of Lancaster, California gave Pinson and Buell and 1125R to race at Willow Springs

Jan 2009: Dairyland Cycle Insurance agrees to support Liberty Waves efforts to compete on Holstein cow painted Buell

Mar 2009: Team earns first podium finish; led half the race, fell victim to two dramatic pit stops
and waged comeback to finish 3rd

Apr 2009: Team earns second podium finish; 2nd

Jun 2009: 3rd place at Road America

Aug 2009: 2nd at VIR

Oct 2009: Awarded bronze medal for Moto GT1 Championship

Feb 2010; Blue Moon Cycle partners with LWR; Dairyland Cycle Insurance returns as team sponsor & Liberty Tax Service comes on board as promotional partner to cap off 2010 tax season
